The COVID era is done. What have we learned?
Reflections on the wisdom we gained from the For-Profit Hysteria epoch
Every time I see that the US has heroically donated more of our taxpayer money (that we must pay lest we face violent incarceration) to Ukraine I’m reminded of one thing:
COVID is 100% over.
I remember hearing the line “Life is your greatest teacher.” Perhaps the greatest teacher life unexpectedly dropped on us was COVID. Like a deeply piercing Rorschach test, all of us gained the ability to see into the deepest desires of institutions and individuals during that period of casual madness.
Here’s a compilation of a few lessons we learned:
Institutions are not our friend. We are here for their benefit, and not the other way around. As soon as a profit motive emerges, they have no issue weaponizing every adjacent organization that is in their direct or constructive control to achieve mutually beneficial needs. See:
Many people will almost always opt for pat condescending moralistic behavior that elevate their perceived social status over engaging in constructive discourse. Examples include: The proliferation of the term “Covidiots,” used on people who declined to adopt every new arbitrary recommendation by the NHS and WHO, people masking alone in their cars or using their masks up until the food arrives, and of course, “Believe ‘The Science.’”
A far larger group of people who are neutral will just ‘Go along with it’ even though they know it’s wrong.
People will have no issue casually ruining your life. See: jailing individuals for surfing alone, destroying businesses who question public officials’ often arbitrary and ever-changing standards, ostentatiously covering outdoor playgrounds with material to make it impossible for children to play, etc.
What can be considered“The Racism™” is simply refusing to repeat the racist beliefs of the Entrenched Institutions (Corporate media/most corporations, educational institutions, the Federal govt, etc.). There is an almost identical dynamic vis-a-vis religious sects ( e.g. Shi'ites-Sunnis, Catholics-Lutherans) in which either side claims complete moral authority while the other sides are heretics.
In other words, people fear the moniker of racism so will simply swear fealty to the gestalt racism exercises as dictated from above.
Examples of when you are given the branding of “The Racism™” when you:
Refuse to condemn all white people and everything associated with “White culture” (such as it is) as evil
Refuse to believe that certain races are fundamentally incapable of baseline levels of intellectual achievement so standards must be lowered for them.
Refuse to believe that other races are inherently flawed on a personality level and can be treated as less worthwhile beings without ever needing to listen to their story
Refuse to use race - or cultural perceptions of race - as the determining factor of every human you meet. Instead you evaluate a person based on their inherent and demonstrable dignity given from the Almighty. “Race” is incidental to their being.
Notice how nearly every single case of “The Racism™” is a way for Entrenched Insitutions to whip the population into a cowering moral subserviance.
Perhaps the greatest lesson of all: The people who most quickly, gleefully, and cruelly wielded the societal and “Moral” positioning conferred by the Entrenched Elite are numerous, and their lack of self-awareness or ability to self-critique their actions in light of evidence will never change. Consider: Many people noticed that hospitals had a profit-incentive to say people died “Of COVID” vs. “With covid” and many people pointed out that that dynamic might be a confounding variable that requires attention via-a-vis the severity of COVID and the overly severe government response. Those people who noticed were quickly deemed “Conspiracy theorists” or the aforementioned “Covidiots” who were “Anti-science.” And now consider this trite admission in the pages of the Grey Lady.
There will always be a subset of the population like these people.
What’s important is that we, the ones who were aware of the dynamic that Entrenched Institutions used to effectively torture the rest of the population for the past 2-3 years, respond and plan our lives accordingly.
I learned that no matter what you must seek a community that has yet to be consumed by the stultifying siren’s song of the Entrenched Elite. Something in those communities inure themselves to constant disapprobation of their control methods. And accordingly, these communities receive the most derision and condescension by Entrenched Elite. Those communities, for whatever reason, have something that binds individuals together to resist mimetic viruses like COVID Hysteria. It turns out the best defense against the latest pandemic was a level-head and an attention to facts. Who would have thought?
That’s all the lessons for now. What did you learn?
I learned a lot about science. ‘The Science’ as in gate-kept propaganda versus the process of science, which was utterly absent during the pandemic, and probably absent for much longer and for more things than I care to address on any given day. Great post btw.
What an amazing post! All true! May God give us wisdom and strength to resist those "mimetic viruses"!
